1. Acceptance of these terms

By registering for or using MarryMe4U, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms form a binding agreement between you and us.

2. Who can use this platform

You may register only if you:

• Are at least 18 years of age
• Are legally free to marry under Sri Lankan law
• Are genuinely seeking marriage, not casual dating
• Are not currently married, unless legally divorced, separated or widowed
• Have never been convicted of a violent or sexual offence

A parent, guardian or close family member may create and manage a profile on behalf of an eligible person, with that person's knowledge and consent.

3. Your account

• You must give accurate and truthful information
• One person may hold only one profile
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• You must tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
• You may not transfer or sell your account to anyone else

4. Rules of conduct

You agree that you will not:

• Provide false information about your age, marital status, income, education, caste, religion or identity
• Upload photographs of anyone other than the profile holder
• Harass, threaten, insult or repeatedly contact members who have declined you
• Ask any member for money, financial help, gifts or bank details
• Use the platform for prostitution, trafficking, or any illegal purpose
• Use the platform for casual relationships rather than marriage
• Copy, scrape or republish other members' photographs or details
• Contact members outside the platform without their agreement
• Post obscene, hateful or discriminatory content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or another account

We may suspend or permanently block any account that breaks these rules, without refund, and may report serious matters to the police.

5. Content you provide

You keep ownership of the photographs and text you upload. By uploading, you grant us permission to display that content to other members according to your privacy settings, and to store it for the purpose of operating the platform.

You confirm that you have the right to use every photograph you upload, and that the person shown has consented.

We may remove any content that breaks these terms without notice.

6. Identity verification

Verification is optional. When you submit an identity document and a selfie, our team checks that the document appears genuine and matches your account details.

A verified badge confirms only that we reviewed a document. It is not a guarantee of a member's character, intentions, marital status, income or any other claim on their profile.

7. Horoscope compatibility

Our porondam compatibility feature is provided as a convenience and is based on the birth star details members enter themselves. It is a general guide only.

It is not a substitute for a reading by a qualified astrologer, and we accept no responsibility for decisions made on the basis of it. We do not verify the accuracy of horoscope details entered by members.

8. Membership and payments

• Registration, browsing and a limited number of interests are free
• Paid plans and contact unlocks give additional features
• All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees and include applicable taxes
• Payments are processed by PayHere; we never handle your card details
• Premium membership gives 30 days of access and does not renew automatically
• You will never be charged again unless you choose to renew

Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9. Safety — please read carefully

We provide an introduction service. We do not conduct background checks, confirm employment or income, or verify marital status. You are responsible for satisfying yourself about any person you meet through this platform.

We strongly recommend that you:

• Never send money to anyone you meet here, for any reason
• Never share bank details, card numbers or NIC copies with another member
• Involve your family early
• Meet only in public places, and tell someone where you are going
• Verify important claims independently before committing
• Report anything suspicious using the Report button on any profile

10. Our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Sri Lankan law:

• The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee that you will find a partner
• We are not responsible for the conduct of any member, online or offline
• We are not liable for loss arising from your dealings with other members
• We are not liable for interruptions, data loss or technical faults
• Where we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months

11. Ending your account

You may delete your account at any time from your settings, or by contacting us. Deletion does not entitle you to a refund of any unused period.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, if we receive credible reports of misconduct, or if we are required to by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms. Significant changes will be notified to members.
